Dartmouth Beats Harvard Setting Up Battle of Unbeatens

No. 20 Dartmouth (7-0; 4-0 Ivy) beat Harvard (3-4; 1-3 Ivy) for a 24-17 win at Memorial Field last Saturday. The Big Green rushing attack racked up 320 yards on the ground. Junior quarterback Jared Gerbino, once again, accounted for more than half of the team’s rushing yards, gaining 183 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries. Senior running back Rashaad Cooper also broke the century mark, with 117 yards on 11 carries, including an 82-yard touchdown run.
The Big Green defense held Harvard scoreless through halftime. Four different defenders forced fumbles by Harvard ball carriers, including a 62-yard touchdown return by sophomore cornerback D.J. Terry. Freshman kicker Connor Davis was a perfect 3-for-3 on extra points and tacked on a 28-yard field goal.
The win sets up a showdown between the two remaining undefeated Ivy teams when Dartmouth travels to No. 14 Princeton (7-0; 4-0 Ivy) this Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Eastern.
