Dartmouth Rises to No. 20 Following Win Over Columbia

Dartmouth (6-0; 3-0 Ivy) moved up four spots in the FCS rankings to No. 20 after overwhelming Columbia in the second half of Saturday’s matchup. After a close halftime score, the Big Green put up 21 unanswered points to put away the Lions. Sophomore quarterback Derek Kyler was a perfect 9-for-9 for 126 yards and a touchdown pass to junior tight end Connor Rempel. Kyler also caught a a 21-yard pass from senior wide receiver Drew Hunnicutt. Dartmouth gained 250 yards on the ground led by senior running back Rashaad Cooper, who rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown. Junior wide receiver Drew Estrada also rushed for a touchdown.

The Big Green defense continued to impress. The defense gave up just 86 yards on the ground and did not let the Lions into the end zone until the waning seconds of the game. Junior cornerback Isiah Swann registered two interceptions and junior defensive back Ryan Roegge hauled in another. Swann’s interceptions were his FCS-leading 10th interception of the season. Freshman kicker Connor Davis was a perfect 4-for-4 on extra points
