Dartmouth Remains Undefeated With 34-14 Victory Over Holy Cross
Dartmouth football (2-0) beat its second Patriot League opponent in as many weeks when it traveled to Holy Cross (1-3) last Saturday. Sophomore quarterback Derek Kyler threw for over 250 yards and three touchdowns. Kyler completed passes to eight different receivers, including touchdown tosses to Juniors Connor Rempel (2) and Drew Estrada (1). Junior running back Caylin Parker rushed for another touchdown and freshman kicker Connor Davis added two field goals and four extra points.
The Big Green defense continued its dominance, holding the Crusaders to just 209 yards. The vast majority of Holy Cross' offense came in the fourth quarter, when the defense gave up its first points of the season. Dartmouth's secondary intercepted Crusaders quarterback Geoff Wade four times. Junior cornerback Isiah Swann accounted for three of those picks on the way to earning Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week (again) as well as FCS National Defensive Player of the Week.
On Saturday, September 29th, Dartmouth opens its Ivy League schedule hosting unbeaten Penn at Memorial Field at 1:30 p.m. ET. Go Big Green!
