Dartmouth Football Opens Season With A Blowout!
Dartmouth football shutout Georgetown 41-0 to begin its 2018 campaign. Sophomore Derek Kyler threw for 177 yards and a touchdown to senior wide receiver Drew Hunnicutt, while also picking up a TD with his legs. Senior running backs Rashaad Cooper and Miles Smith and junior running back Caylin Parker each rushed for a touchdown as well. Freshman kicker Connor Davis kicked a pair of field goals and was perfect on extra points, going 5-for-5.
The Hoyas did not have a chance facing the Big (Mean) Green defense. The Hoyas managed only 117 total yards, much of which came in the four quarter when the game was not in doubt. The punishing Dartmouth defense also won the turnover battle, with junior Isiah Swann and sophomore Niko Mermigas each picking off a Georgetown quarterback.
Next up, Dartmouth (1-0) travels to Holy Cross (1-2) this Saturday for a 1:05 p.m. game. Go Big Green!
